We're here to help
Pastport is made by a small independent developer who reads every message. If something isn't working, or you just have a question, get in touch and we'll do our best to reply within a couple of days.
Email support
The fastest way to reach us. Include your iPhone model and iOS version if you're reporting a problem.
Because Pastport keeps everything on your device, we can't see your data, so the more detail you can share about what you were doing, the faster we can help.
Troubleshooting
A trip is missing, or looks wrong
Pastport builds trips from the GPS coordinates saved inside your photos. A trip won't appear if its photos don't have location data (for example, if Camera location access was off when you took them, or if the photos were sent to you rather than taken on your device). Photos that do have location are grouped into trips automatically; without GPS coordinates, Pastport can't place a trip on the globe, so it may not appear or may be incomplete.
Pastport isn't finding my trips at all
Check two things. First, that Pastport has permission to read your photos: iOS Settings → Pastport → Photos. Second, that your photos actually contain location data: open a photo in the Photos app and swipe up; if there's no map, that photo has no GPS coordinates for Pastport to use. Turning on Camera location access (Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Camera → While Using) helps future photos include the GPS data Pastport needs.
I only granted limited ("Select Photos") access
That's fully supported. Pastport builds trips from just the photos you've shared with it, and you can add more at any time from the app. If you'd like it to detect your trips automatically across your whole library, switch to full access in iOS Settings → Pastport → Photos → All Photos.
City or country labels are missing
Turning photo coordinates into place names uses Apple's geocoding, which needs a connection the first time. If labels are missing, Pastport either hasn't geocoded those photo coordinates yet, the device is offline, or the photos don't contain GPS coordinates to look up. Open the trip again once you're back online and the labels will fill in.
Does Pastport change my photos?
No. Pastport only reads your photos; it never moves, edits, or deletes anything in your library. The single exception is when you choose to save a shareable trip card; that image is added to your Photos because you asked for it.
How do I delete my data?
Everything Pastport creates lives only on your iPhone. Delete an individual trip from its menu, wipe all Pastport data from Settings → Reset Pastport, or remove the app entirely. Uninstalling takes its data with it and never touches your Photos library.
